What will you learn in this class?
I'm a qualified chef/pastry chef and teacher. My last job was teaching at Chisolm, and since leaving there I've been running Bake Club in my own cooking school for many years. Throughout this time I've been able to see first-hand what most people have issues with when it comes to baking.
This mini-course is a small part of our more comprehensive course.
"How To Make Perfect Cakes In Your Thermomix"
I've found that most people that have issues with their baking results are people that are used to following a stand/hand mixer method. Of course, you can have the same issues by following a recipe that has been poorly adapted.
To be completely honest, that was me too until I sorted it all out! I had a lot of disappointing results at the start, just as some of my Bake Club members do now.
I was really starting to think the Thermomix wasn't cut out for cake-making, but thankfully I figured out a method and some clever tips that changed everything.
So rest assured - if you've been having problems or getting inconsistent results I really can relate.
Funnily enough, I've noticed that since I posted my first Vanilla Cake recipe way back in 2002, other bloggers have adopted my method and called it their own. I'm pretty sure they don't know why the technique works but I explain it all in my full course.
After completing this mini-course If you're happy with the results I'd strongly encourage you to check out the full course "How to Make Perfect Cakes in your Thermomix" where we do a deep dive on why this method works or if it's baking, in general, why not check out our Bake Club Online subscription.
The more you understand, the better your results become. Throughout the course, I explain why and how then give you the tools to make 100's (if not 1000's!) of variations on this basic recipe. It's only limited by your imagination and taste buds.
